Maritime English presents a systematic learning English grammar, and the four fundamental language skills : listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The topics covered include the roles and responsibilities of seafarers, daily crew routines, types and parts of ships, safety equipment and its functions, geographical routes, navigation equipment, onboard directions, routine ship operations, standard wheel and engine orders, emergency situations, inventory management, and cargo handling procedures. Each unit is supported by practical exercises, communicative tasks, and contextual activities that enable students to apply the language effectively in real-life maritime operations. It aims to develop learners' communicative competence, enhance operational confidence, and prepare future deck officers to communicate accurately, safely, and professionally in the global maritime environment.
